The Auto Expo 2020 dates have been announced.
The next edition of India’s largest auto show – THE AUTO EXPO – will start on February 7, 2020 and will go on till February 12, 2020. Auto Expo 2020 will be held at the India Expo Mart in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, like the previous 2018 and 2016 editions of the motor show.
First held in 1985, the Auto Expo is jointly organised by Automotive Component Manufacturers Association (ACMA), Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM). It is conducted every two years to showcase the latest innovations in the automotive space.
What remains a question mark at the moment is manufacturer participation at the 2020 Auto Expo. The Indian automotive industry has been facing a slowdown of late and it is highly likely that certain manufacturers will pull out of the show considering the huge cost of participation. Still, you can expect a strong show from car makers like Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors and Mahindra as well as Hyundai, Kia, Volkswagen and Skoda. A key theme of next year’s Auto Expo would be the shift to cleaner fuels and the adoption of BS6 emission norms in India.
The Auto Component show would be will be held from February 6 to 9 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
